Queensland: Wondai
Incorporating photos and Information from Michael Greenslade's former Australian Towns, Cities and Highways site
Wondai is a small town located on the Bunya Highway between Kingaroy and Murgon in the South Burnett region. While sheep farming was the original main industry in the region, it wasnt until cattle farming became prominent in the late 1880's that the township of Wondai was established. Nowadays it is the centre for the local beef, dairy, timber and dolamite mining industries. In the area are Boondooma Dam (42km west), Sidcup Castle and the Wondai Museum.
