Queensland: Mooloolaba
Incorporating photos and Information from Michael Greenslade's former Australian Towns, Cities and Highways site

Located on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, Mooloolaba is a popular spot for tourists, with it's close proximity to the Coral Sea, beaches and nearby attractions such as Underwater World. It is also a stopping point for a number of cruise ships.

Mooloolaba is derived from the Aboriginal word mulu, meaning snapper fish, or mulla meaning Red-bellied Black Snake. Originally known as Mooloolah Heads, the name was changed to Mooloolaba by Thomas O'Connor in 1919 when land in the area was subdivided for sale.
