Queensland: Beaudesert
Incorporating photos and Information from Michael Greenslade's former Australian Towns, Cities and Highways site

Beaudesert, a moderate sized town located approximately 70km south of Brisbane lies on the Mount Lindesay Highway. Established in the 1840's, the town grew slowly until it was connected by railway from Brisbane and later from interstate and is essentially now the town is the centre of the local dairying and cattle farming industries, as well as being the chief town in the southern region. While the town centre is quite attractive, its surroundings are strangely dry, despite being close to a series of standout national parks such as the Lamington and Border Ranges National Parks.
