General Information:

One of the shortest routes in the state, B36 links National Highway 1 to the Tasman Bridge and Tasman Highway. It bypasses the Royal Botanic Gardens and lies between it and the River Derwent, near Hobart.

The route is undivided single carriageway, with 1 lane in each direction, but feature grade separated interchanges at both ends.

History:

• October 2013: Work began on the $1.1 million upgrade of the on-ramp at the Domain Highway / Brooker Highway interchange. Work included lengthening the acceleration lane and decreasing the angle of entry on to the Domain Highway.  It also included putting a new seal on the ramp. 1
