Statistics:

Route Numbering:

General Information:

Over the years the Hume Highway has had numerous alterations, and this section at Hanging Rock near Wingello is one of the sections that has been straightened. The road more or less follows the current alignment but is quite undulating and has a few curves. It is now a local road with some farms accessing it along both sides. It is a narrow 2 lane single carriageway road with one lane in each direction, now under local government control.

History:

Most likely this section of the highway was bypassed in the 1960s or 70s. There are no remnants of the highway left along the route.
