Queensland: Sunshine Beach
Incorporating photos and Information from Michael Greenslade's former Australian Towns, Cities and Highways site

Located close to Noosa Heads, Sunshine Beach is a small strip suburb overlooking the Coral Sea on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.

Under the shadow of Noosa Hill, Sunshine Beach is a predominately residential suburb, surrounded by bushland. The area south of Noosa Headlands was formerly known as Golden Beach. In 1928, Thomas Marcus Burke gained land there in exchange for building roads and bridges around Tewantin. After World War II it was marketed by his son, Marcus, as Sunshine Beach.
