General Information:

SR40 is a single carrigeway rural highway connecting Perth with Western Australa's Wheatbelt. It's trafficked by both tourists going to places such as Wave Rock near Hyden and also freight movements. Some sections of the route are 1 lane wide between Kondinin and Corrigin.

Canning River:
Brookton Hwy as it approaches the Buckingham Bridge over the Canning River, March 2011. The bridge was replaced after a large bushfire damaged the old one in February 2011. Apparently a more permanent structure is being planned. Click here for a photo from April 2009 of the previous bridge.
