General Information:

State Route 3 forms part of the Red Centre Way in the Northern Territory and is located southwest of Alice Springs. The road is named after the Luritja people, the traditional Aboriginal owners of the Watarrka National Park. 1

State Route 3 is a 2-laned sealed road linking Kings Canyon Resort to Yulura and eventually Stuart Highway. Though Kings Canyon is linked to Alice Springs via Larapinta Dr, the section between Kings Canyon National Park's northern boundary and the town of Hermannsburg is unsealed.
